Jimi Hendrix was born November 27, 1942 in Seattle Washington. His mom and dad were Al Hendrix and Lucille Jeter. Hendrix's father was from Vancover, and his mom was from Seattle, Washington. Hendrix's father a was a jazz dancer, before joining the U.S Army on September 1st 1945.  But Al would work time to time struggling to make ends meet.  Jimi Hendrix's mom, Lucille Jeter, was the youngest of the Jeter children.  She had long, thick, dark hair which was straight. She had a beatiful smile. But when Al got drafted, she had to work for herself, and found work as a waitress. Sadly on Febuary 2nd 1958,  Hendrix lost his mother Lucille. She died from liver cirrhosis from her drinking habits when jimi was 15 years old.  Hendrix, anyways, was a shy person through out his life. Very sensitive by nature. His father legally changed his name to "James Marshall Hendrix", in 1946. Hendrix went through some family problems growing up. His mother and father were going through a rough time in their marrige, and finally gota divorce. Hendrix was 9 years old when they set the divorce. Hendrix was badly influenced by his parents split.
